For ChatGPT Web

CogentSpec +ChatGPT Web.

Keep the approved project, baseline, obligations, and release gates visible in CogentSpec while ChatGPT works beside them in the browser.

Built for Linux and browser-only use

On Windows or macOS, ChatGPT Desktop is the simpler route. Continue with Web when Desktop is unavailable or you prefer the browser.

Side-by-side workflow

The contract stays in view.

CogentSpec remains the authoritative project workspace. ChatGPT remains the place where you discuss and execute the work.

Five guided steps

Connect before you build.

CogentSpec governs what is being built. ChatGPT helps you build it through the connected app.

  1. 1
    Connect CogentSpec

Add CogentSpecWeb to ChatGPT using the guided private app setup.

  2. 2
    Open the ChatGPT sidebar

Check that ChatGPT can open from your browser toolbar, or choose to use ChatGPT in a separate tab.

  3. 3
    Install the Local Workspace Bridge

Connect CogentSpecWeb securely to Codex and the project folders you approve on this computer.

  4. 4
    Open CogentSpec workspace

Select the project type, edit its baseline, and approve the contract.

  5. 5
    Use @cogentspec

Engage the approved project in ChatGPT and return to the workspace whenever you need to review its contract or changes.

CogentSpec does not supply the ChatGPT plan. OpenAI controls developer-mode access, and workspace administrators may restrict it.
